Terms of Service
Last updated: July 22, 2026
1. The service
SlickVid ("we", "us", "the service") provides a web-based tool and Chrome extension for creating product demonstration videos. By creating an account you agree to these terms.
2. Your account
You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure. You may not share your account with others or create accounts on behalf of third parties without their consent. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
3. Your content
You own the projects, recordings, and media you create and upload. By uploading content you grant us a limited licence to store and process it for the sole purpose of providing the service to you. We do not claim any ownership over your content.
You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to record, use, and publish any content you create with SlickVid - including screen recordings of third-party software and any music, images, or footage you include.
4. Acceptable use
You may not use SlickVid to create content that:
- Is defamatory, harassing, or threatening
- Infringes another party's intellectual property rights
- Contains malware, phishing material, or deceptive content
- Violates any applicable law
We may remove content or suspend accounts that breach this section without notice.
5. Plans and billing
The Free plan is provided as-is with the limitations stated on the pricing page. Pro plan billing is monthly or annual and is handled by Stripe. You may cancel at any time; your Pro access continues until the end of the current billing period. We do not offer refunds for partial periods.
Plan limits are as follows. Free: 10 exports per month, 3 minutes of video output per export, 720p resolution, 1 user seat. Pro: 50 exports per month, 10 minutes of video output per export, 1080p resolution, 20,000 TTS words per calendar month, 2 user seats. Business: unlimited exports and unlimited TTS subject to the fair use policy below, 20 minutes of video output per export, 1080p resolution, 5 user seats.
5a. Fair use of unlimited plans
"Unlimited" exports and text-to-speech on the Business plan mean there is no fixed monthly counter under normal team use. Normal use is creating and narrating product demos, onboarding clips, tutorials, and marketing videos for your own business. Each export remains capped at 20 minutes of video output.
Unlimited usage does not permit, and we may throttle, suspend, or require migration to a custom plan for, any of the following: automated, scripted, or bulk video generation; reselling or redistributing renders as a service; operating content farms or spam; using our text-to-speech as a general-purpose or third-party voice API; or any usage that places a disproportionate load on our rendering infrastructure relative to a typical team. We will make reasonable efforts to contact you before taking action where usage appears to exceed fair use.
6. Availability and changes
We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features with reasonable notice. If we discontinue the service entirely we will give at least 30 days notice by email so you can export your content.
7. Disclaimer of warranties
The service is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. We do not warrant that the service will be error-free, that rendered videos will meet your expectations, or that third-party integrations will remain available.
8. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claim arising from these terms or your use of the service will not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which SlickVid is registered. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. We will update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the service after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
