Common questions
Is the launch discount permanent?
Yes. If you subscribe during the launch promotion, the discounted rate is locked in for as long as you stay subscribed. The price only reverts to the standard rate if you cancel and re-subscribe later.
Can I make a real demo video on the free plan?
Yes. Free gives you all 60+ animated scene variants, the screen recorder with click/zoom effects, and 5,000 words of basic TTS narration per month. Most product demos run under 90 seconds - you can ship something genuinely useful without spending a cent. Free is limited to 10 exports per month and the exported video carries a SlickVid watermark.
What is the difference between Pro and Business?
Pro is for individuals and small teams of up to 2 people - 50 exports per month, 10 minutes per export, and 20,000 words of premium TTS per month. Business removes the export and TTS caps entirely (subject to fair use), raises video output to 20 minutes per export, and supports up to 5 team seats.
What does "Unlimited" mean on Business?
Unlimited exports and TTS on Business means there is no monthly counter - you will never hit a hard cap during normal team use, which we define as making and narrating product demos, onboarding clips, and marketing videos. Each export is still capped at 20 minutes of output. "Unlimited" is not a licence for automated or bulk video generation, reselling renders, content farms, or using our TTS as a general-purpose voice API. If usage looks automated or far outside normal demo workflows we may reach out, ask you to move to a custom plan, or throttle rendering. In practice almost no real team gets close to these thresholds.
Do I need a credit card to sign up?
No. You can create an account and start making videos with just your email address. A card is only required when you choose to upgrade to Pro or Business.
Can I cancel my plan anytime?
Yes. Cancel from your account settings any time before your renewal date. Your access continues until the end of the period you already paid for - no prorated charges, no questions asked.
Is the Chrome screen recorder included on the free plan?
Yes. The Chrome extension - including click auto-zoom, button shine, and input border animations - is available on every plan. It is one of the things that makes a SlickVid recording look different from a raw screen capture, so we do not want cost to be the reason you skip it.
Do you offer monthly plans?
Yes. Pro is $19/month or $14/month billed annually ($168/year). Business is $49/month or $35/month billed annually ($420/year). You can switch billing periods from your account settings at any time.
What are my payment options?
We accept all major credit and debit cards - Visa, Mastercard, Amex, and Discover - processed securely via Stripe. We do not store your card details.
What happens to my videos if I cancel?
Your projects and any videos you have already exported are yours to keep. After cancellation your account reverts to the free plan limits and the SlickVid watermark returns on new exports.
